2018 Programs
Converge 45 2016–2018 Guest Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds selected the title YOU IN MIND for the theme of her three-year Converge 45 programming. YOU IN MIND focuses on artistic practices that have a public in mind, giving artists the opportunity to discuss critical issues of aesthetic, societal, and global significance. Kristy Edmunds is the Executive & Artistic Director of the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA.

The Center for Contemporary Art & Culture at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is honored to present Use What is Dominant in a Culture to Change it Quickly: Jenny Holzer's Sentences and Sentiments from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation July 19 through August 22, 2018.

August 9-12th YOU IN MIND 2018 Opening Weekend Program Schedule
Join us on Saturday, May 12th for a silent auction and dinner fundraising event featuring artists whose work engages with issues of homelessness. The event honors four local organizations and projects dedicated to providing resources to those experiencing homelessness and share in Converge 45’s belief that art can be a catalyst for social change.
2017 Programs
Converge 45 is a curatorial-driven arts platform that engages audiences and artists in Portland, Oregon, connecting the city in a global dialog through the vision of leading curators. This multi-year cycle and four days of extended programming (August 9 – 12) has been lead by Guest Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds, Executive and Artistic Director of the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA.
26 artists working in the United States have been invited to present new and existing works throughout eight venues and the public realm, each responding to Edmunds’ framework of “YOU IN MIND.”

2016 Programs
The 2016, 2017, and 2018 years of Converge 45 are guided by Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds’ intellectual framework and theme of YOU IN MIND.
The three core components of Converge 45’s 2016 first year were 1. an Artists’ Congress, 2. Partnering Exhibitions, and 3. a Visitors’ Weekend.
Converge 45 hosted a Visitors’ Weekend July 29-31 that provided an immersive experience for visitors, local arts enthusiasts, arts administrators, and artists.
Converge 45's 2016 Artists' Congress brings together locally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists, writers, and thinkers in Portland, Oregon.
