Converge 45 is around the corner, and we need your help! As the inaugural Converge 45 event, it is especially important that we have a great team of volunteers and staff to make our vision a reality—and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
What is Converge 45 about?
Converge 45 is an annual multi-day event that showcases international, national, and regional contemporary art. The Portland-based event is an opportunity for artists, collectors, curators, scholars, and the public to take part in the unprecedented collaboration of our leading arts institutions, galleries, and artist-run spaces. Check out the site for more details.
How will it happen?
Featuring a curated series of exhibitions, dinners, conversations, performances, and more, Converge 45 will offer artist-only events during the Artists’ Congress from July 26-July 29th. The event is bookended by the Visitor’s Weekend, open to pass holders from Friday, July 29th-Sunday, July 31st.
Who is involved?
Converge 45’s inaugural Artistic Director and Guest Curator is Kristy Edmunds, currently Artistic and Executive Director for Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA. Collaborating institutions include the Portland Art Museum, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Wieden + Kennedy, Reed College, S1 and many more.
How can you help?
We will need volunteers to support throughout the event, ensuring guests have an exceptional experience and Converge 45 has a successful first run. Roles will include registration helpers, group guides, setup support, and more. If you are interested in volunteering with the event, please fill out this short form. Someone will contact you this week to follow up and set up an onboarding session.
