Lives and works in Portland, Oregon

Jessica Jackson Hutchins’ work has been broadly celebrated, including inclusion in the 55th International Art Exhibition at the Venice Biennale as part of Massimiliano Gioni’s Il Palazzo Enciclopedico / The Encyclopedic Palace, the 11th Lyon Biennale (2011); Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, New York (2010), amongst numerous US solo and group exhibitions. She is represented by Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York.

Hutchins’ expressive and intuitive studio practice produces dynamic sculptural installations, collages, paintings, and large-scale ceramics. These are a means by which the artist explores the intimacy of the mutual existence between art and life. Converge 45 is pleased to have worked with Hutchins to draw a selection of pieces, ceramic, mixed media, and on paper, none previously exhibited in Oregon.
