Converge 45 is a nonprofit organization that provides a curatorial platform for the visual arts in Portland and the surrounding region. Through annual programming led by a Guest Artistic Director in collaboration with cultural partners, the organization supports the region’s arts ecology and expands the conversation around contemporary art.
Situated in and around Portland, Oregon, a dynamic and expanding center for art, design, and culture, Converge 45 is an annual multi-day event that showcases international, national, and regional contemporary art and ideas. Converge 45 engages an internationally renowned Guest Curator to design a two-year program in collaboration with the region’s institutions to develop signature art exhibitions and define a broad intellectual framework around which the events and conversations of Converge 45 take place. Museum and gallery exhibitions, site-specific installations, panel discussions, and events are set against the backdrop of Oregon’s unparalleled natural beauty.
